Giveaway at maggiemoosmom!

Check out the sweet strap wraps that Maggie is giving away this week. They are great little wraps for your seatbelt to keep it from rubbing on your neck. What a great idea! I just discovered her site this morning and absolutely love all of her creations! Check it out at http://maggiemoosmom.wordpress.com/2010/06/28/maggie-moos-strap-wrap-giveaway

One of my favorite blogs...

I just discovered a fabulous blog by Ashley at http://www.makeit-loveit.com/  This lady is AMAZING!!! I have found several tutorials I plan to try, and she shows everything step by step, so I feel like I can really tackle these projects and do a good job! She creates new things and "repurposes" lots of different things to make them useful and fun. The first thing I plan to try is remaking a fun sundress I got from Target.com by using her tutorial found here: http://www.makeit-loveit.com/search/label/Re-Purposing?updated-max=2010-05-07T12%3A23%3A00-04%3A00&max-results=20

I purchased 3 of the dresses in pink, gray, and black, so if I can make each one just a little different, I will feel like I have 3 great new dresses to take on my cruise to the Bahamas this October.

Now I am off to start sewing...it's too HOT to work outside, so I will be inside in the AC for awhile sewing away!

Welcome!

I am so excited to start blogging about my latest adventure...my new Etsy store, dazy-D-zines. I created this store to sell top-quality, handcrafted items such as nursing covers, bags, and greeting cards. I will be expanding my offerings in the near future.

I came up with the name by looking out my office window at my soon-to-be-beautiful flower garden, complete with a trickling pond fountain. (I can't wait until it is finished!)...bring on the hummingbirds!

I asked my 10-year-old son to design a logo for my new store, and I absolutely loved what he came up with. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to scan it in and edit it in Photoshop yet, so my computer generated design will have to do for now. But thank you, Porter, for using your creativity for me...I will find a way to use it in the future! I will also be incorporating my daughter's design into my business as well. Thanks, Mandi! I love you both!!!

I plan to have some items listed in the store this weekend, so be sure to check back for the goods. You're gonna love 'em!!! Visit me at http://www.etsy.com/shop/DazyDZines
